“Kimberly, I did everything right… I negotiated a great price, got a fair out-the-door number. But then — they got me in the finance office.”
That’s what I hear almost every day.
And I understand exactly why.
Because for nearly two decades, I sat on the other side of that desk.
From Inside the Finance Office
I spent 18+ years as a multi-brand dealership Finance Manager, navigating the most misunderstood—and most profitable—part of the car-buying process.
The finance office isn’t just paperwork.
It’s strategy, psychology, product structuring, and timing.
It’s also where even the most confident buyers lose control of their deal.
Building Consumer Awareness - my unique position
After leaving the dealership world, I stepped into consumer education at the ground level with what is now CarEdge.
There, I:
Led the development of finance-focused education for car buyers
Built and structured ancillary product offerings
Oversaw operational execution of those products
Created tools, templates, and frameworks buyers could actually use
I also became a familiar voice on YouTube through “Kimberly’s Corner,” where I broke down complex finance topics into clear, practical guidance.
In addition:
I scripted and produced the finance sections of Deal School 1 & 2
Developed buyer-ready templates and negotiation tools
Created and led the “Driven for Women” initiative within the community
Independent Voice & Rapid Growth
After CarEdge, I launched my own YouTube channel—
monetizing in under 60 days.
That growth wasn’t luck.
It was the result of experience people simply can’t Google.
What I Do Now
Today, I continue helping buyers navigate the second half of the deal—
whether they’re paying cash, leasing, or financing.
But my focus has evolved.
I now partner with credit unions, giving them something they’ve never truly had:
A clear, inside view of what actually happens in the dealership finance office.
